Important note - Due to various reasons, SFSCon 2017 has been cancelled for 2017 in its normal form, and is resetting for 2018, around same planned time as it it was for this year. Note: fan/club/guest tables are in the open/common area, and are not typically assigned. It is not recommended to leave valuable items there, though security patrols through it, there is no permanent security there, and the convention isn't responsible for items left there.

The following is a list of our dealers for this year so far. There are still a few spaces left.

A FEW IMPORTANT NOTES CONCERNING POWER USAGE IN THE DEALER AND FAN TABLE AREAS:

- Anyone plugging in any power device, including cords, strips, ups, are subject to safety inspection by the convention. If a device is found to be unsafe, it will be required to be unplugged immediately, or not plugged in at all.

- Anyone wanting to use power may only have no more than 2 standard power pull devices plugged in and running at any given time. Any more than that, and the hotel will require an exhibitor power payment fee from the person or persons who plugged in more than that. Anyone wanting to use power for an high usage device must pay an exhibitor power usage fee to the hotel.
For next year, it is likely that any power usage in the dealer/guest/fan area will require a power usage fee.

- all devices producing sound, such as video or cd players, will be required to be kept at a reasonable noise level, low-medium or less. The convention will be regularly checking for all dealers, guests, and fan groups to maintain that level, and remind anyone of that at any time, if they are playing anything too loud.

A FEW IMPORTANT NOTES CONCERNING CONTENT IN THE DEALER AND FAN TABLE AREAS:

- CONTENT MUST BE CONTROLLED AS THE RATING IN THE DEALER'S ROOM IS PG-13. HIGHER THAN PG13 MATERIAL MAY BE SOLD, AS LONG AS IT IS LEGAL MATERIAL, AND IS STRICTLY SUPERVISED AND CONTROLLED FROM VIEWING AND ACCESS BY MINORS, BY THE DEALER SELLING THE MERCHANDISE IN QUESTION. The short version: Dealers / guestspeakers can sell anything as long as it is legal. Any adult materials or items with adult level rating or themes must be kept completely away from minors.

- ANY DEALER SELLING WEAPONS, OR MORE SPECIFICALLY WEAPONS PROPS FOR COSTUMERS, MUST ALSO STRICTLY SUPERVISE AND CONTROL ACCESS TO MINORS, AND CONTROL SECURITY ON THESE ITEMS. CON SECURITY WILL BE GOING THRU THE DEALER'S ROOM ON OCCASION, AND THERE WILL BE ACCESS CONTROL AT THE DOORS, BUT IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF DEALERS SELLING THESE ITEMS TO SECURE AND CONTROL THEM PRIOR TO PURCHASE BY CONVENTION PATRONS.
  MORE, IF A PURCHASING PATRON ASKS ABOUT USE OF SUCH ITEMS DURING THE CONVENTION, PLEASE DIRECT THEM TO THE CONVENTION RULES WHICH GOVERN THE WEAR AND DISPLAY OF SUCH ITEMS BY PATRONS. SWORD/BLADE ITEMS MUST BE PEACE-BONDED, AND ALL WEAPONS/PROPS ARE SUBJECT TO SAFETY BY CONVENTION STAFF OR STAFF SECURITY, AT ANY TIME DURING THE CONVENTION, AND MORE SPECIFICALLY IN THE CONVENTION AREAS.

TABLE TYPES FOR PURCHASE

At Sci-Fi Summer Con we have two types of tables to choose from, Dealer and Fan table. Displaying your information and products at a tables maximises your exposure to the attendees.
A quick description: dealer table spaces are a 6ft x 6ft space, come with one 6ft x 30in table, and one chair. an additional chair for a table can be requested. Each table comes with a table cloth, but no skirting. Dealers room opens for dealers for setup at 8am on saturday morning, and opens to the public at 10am, then closes at 7pm. It is recommended that dealers keep their setup designs or constructs simple for quick setup. Remember, sfscon is generally an easy going event, so over production typically isn't needed. The following is a list of the tables the convention offers.

Fan tables

If you represent a fan club, another convention or other group that would like to promote itself, we offer these fan tables for free until 1 January 2017 (limit 1 per club) for the entire convention.   After 1 January, they are $10 again, so claim your fan table quickly! also, when we start designing the layout, position of the fan tables can be requested by the fan groups, but will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Fan Tables do not include a complementary membership. Up to two memberships per table may be purchased at the concurrent group rate ($10.00 prior to 1 january, $15.00 after one 1 january) each.  Please use the membership forms on the memberships page for those, and put a note about them being table memberships in the upper right block.


Dealer tables

If you are an individual selling merchandise we offer dealer tables for $35 per table before 1 January 2017, then $45 per table after 1 January 2017, $55 after 10 May. [limit 2 per dealer]. 
Dealer tables include one complementary membership per table. One additional membership may be purchased, per table, at the concurrent group rate ($10.00 prior to 1 january, $15.00 after one 1 january).   Please use the membership forms on the memberships page for those, and put a note about them being table memberships in the upper right block.

Even so, we would like you to complete the table form and send it either in email (if email, we recommend the doc version) or snail mail. The purpose of this covers a few important questions - name/contact info of who actually gets the badge (remember, each dealer table purchased comes with one free badge), what badge name that they want on the badge, and that they agree to the rules of the convention.

More, again and importantly, if a second badge is needed by any dealer, a membership form will need to be filled out and sent to us as well, with payment for that person (payment for second badge isn't required if the dealer got 2 tables, but we still need a form on them, for the other reasons stated above).

 

Refund / Transfer Policy

We do not offer refunds for dealer tables, fan tables, or associated memberships unless the convention is cancelled. If you can't attend Sci-Fi Summer Con after you've pre-registered you may transfer your table or membership to another person. This notice of transfer must be given in writing and have the signatures of both the original member and the new member.   If this happens, we really prefer to take care of this process before the convention, but we can process this at the convention, if absolutely necessary.     If it is done prior to the con, it must be done in a timely manner, and not last minute prior to the convention,. We understand situations come up, but please understand that we need ample time far in advance to properly administrate a pre-reg transfer.
If you need to transfer a membership a the convention  please contact our registration section.   We cannot transfer memberships to a following year.  Once you have a badge you cannot transfer a membership

Same as with purchase of memberships, all dealers / vendors / attendees must agree to the rules of the convention, found on this page (for dealer specific), and the con rules page, for general purposes..
